G7: Obama says strong dollar poses ‘problem’

US President Barack Obama told his allies at a Group of Seven , G7,  summit that the strong dollar posed a “problem”, a French diplomatic source said Monday.

“Obama said yesterday that the strong dollar posed a problem but a strong euro poses a problem too,” the source said. A strong currency weighs on the competitiveness of a country’s industries and exports.
