Leicester City qualify for the Champions League for the first time in history

Leicester City has secured a historic Champions League spot after beating Sunderland 0-2 yesterday. This is the first time 'The Foxes' as they are fondly called have qualified for the UEFA Champions League in the history of the club and with 6 games to go are on course to win the English Premier League title..

The victory at the Stadium of Light took Claudio Ranieri's men onto 72 points, and with United losing at White Hart Lane the Foxes cannot now finish any lower than fourth in the Premier League -- which books a place in the final qualifying round.

Man Stabs Friend To Death Over N2k Given To Them By Alfa

As you read this, the remains of a 37-year-old man, Kamoli Isiaka, who was stabbed to death by his friend Azeez, last week, at Ololade Street in Morogbo area of Lagos have been buried.
The late Isiaka and his friend, Azeez, had issue over N2,000 given to them by one Mr. Ololade in the neighbourhood, which led to the former being stabbed in the neck by the latter.

When Vanguard visited the scene of the incident in Morogbo community, family and friends of the deceased had gone to Badagry General Hospital to retrieve the body for burial according to Muslim rites.
Before burial, family members took the corpse to the Baale of Ayetejuesefo community in Elija, where the alleged suspect fled to after committing the crime.

Hillary Clinton Not Qualified To Be US President Says Sanders

As the Sanders surge continues, the Democratic presidential contest has gotten chippy. After Clinton called Sanders “unprepared” to be president, Sanders responded he thought she was “unqualified.”

The chattering classes went off. Democrats were rending garments and ringing hands worried about the campaign getting too negative and personal. Guy Cecil, director of one of the Clinton armory of SuperPacs, played the inevitable sexist card. President Obama felt it necessary to weigh in, with his spokesman Eric Schultz saying Obama believes Clinton” comes to the race with more experience than any non-vice president in recent campaign history.” More experience, in other words, than anyone except Al Gore, daddy Bush and Richard Nixon.

Plan To Arrest Jonathan Goodluck Will Spell Doom For Buhari's Government

The umbrella body of Ijaw youths, the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, has alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is laying a foundation for the arrest of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The IYC, however, advised the anti-graft agency to shelve any plan to “persecute” the former President, insisting that such a move would spell doom for the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Speaking at a news conference on Saturday to mark the burial of a former Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, the IYC President, Mr. Udengs Eradiri, said most of the close allies of Jonathan had been arrested by the EFCC.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mallam Yusuf Ali; a former Military Administrator, Theophilus Bamigboye; and the Bishop of the Anglican Church (Diocese of Kwara), Dr. Olusegun Adeyemi, has urged President Buhari and the anti-graft agencies to ensure that the anti-corruption war is not selective.

To avert a fresh lockdown on the 2016 Budget, a government delegation led by Minister of National Planning, Sen.  Udoma Udo-Udoma yesterday began talks with Speaker of the House of Representatives,  Yakubu Dogara and top leaders of the National Assembly.
Senate President  Bukola Saraki is expected to join the reconciliation team today (Monday) after cutting short his trip abroad. But a  former Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, yesterday asked the Presidency and the National Assembly to avoid a budget showdown.
